Argentina ‘wants to EXPLOIT BREXIT’ to snatch back Falkland Islands
The South American country’s foreign minister, Susana Malcorra, confirmed the government will be watching the negotiations like a hawk to see how they unfold.
Argentina will be following the next two years of talks very “carefully” to see if the UK loses support from the EU over the issue of the Falkland Islands.
Just off the coast of Argentina, they passed into British control in 1833, much to the consternation of the Argentinians.
They have continually laid claim to the landmass and have previously attempted to snatch back the islands, which it refers to as the Malvinas.
