    • zepbigfoot bearcove there was and is evidence.he was a bully. The fools forgive. It was an excellent question. He takes after trump.

    • The man grabbed his neck, brought him to the ground, and punched him in the face. For asking questions. I don’t care who you are. That is totally inexcusable. ESPECIALLY in America.

  1. He committed a crime and should go to jailUnfortunately, this is the guy you are.  I cannot believe that people are as stupid as they are.

    • Actually, there is a lot people can do about it. He won’t be able to do much legislating from the county jail.

    • omi god lol 😂 he won’t go to county jail silly 😜. He’s got money 💰! Where you been living, under a rock ? People with money do not go to jail for misdemeanors

  2. Reporters from the Guardian should be kneed in the nuts not body slammed to the ground. Before you lecture them on bad behavior, you need to get them their attention, liberal reporters for the Guardian have little attention span.

    • So you’re okay with him voting in favor of giving the top 1% a tax break of over a billion dollars and cutting over 23 million Americans off of healthcare?

Because he attacked a reporter who asked him to answer a question, that he said he would answer when the CBO report came out. He refused to give an answer about his vote previously because there wasn’t a CBO estimate, once the estimate came out, he assaulted a reporter for doing their job to INFORM the public of their potential elected representative.

    • There is no excuse for violence for simply being asked questions. Not only is that barbaric, but is totally unbecoming of a politician who should expect to be asked tough questions. That should not be tolerated.

  3. Gianforte’s apology is u acceptable. I hope the reporter sues him. Crimes against reporters doing their jobs should be prosecuted for hate crimes. Ignorant voters again.

    • Edward Terry    Where about in the audio recording would you say that the journalist was “incessant”?
He referred the journalist to someone on his team and from the audio and witness account, he immediately grabbed him around the neck.   You are trying to defend the indefensible and should be ashamed of yourself.

The attack was entirely unprovoked and Gianforte should not be in public office, especially given the blatant lies told afterwards to cover his assault.

    • yourjoking       Don’t be silly, from the witness accounts Ben walked into the room where a local TV company was set up to do an interview with Gianforte.  And there were numerous other news media people
      present.
It wasn’t the case that Ben “busted into” Gianforte’s office as you claim and he was not trespassing, hence he was not charged with  that offence.

  4. Because CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS does not understand the tea party…their never ending onslaught of the reporting of this incident between Gianforte and the reporter is what actually gave him more votes. I challenge all you media affiliates to think through how that could be. Keep doing what you’re doing. We appreciate the help, while at the same time you keep shooting yourselves in the foot again, again and again. Please do not ever get rid of Rachel. Gifts like her and Pelosi only come around once in a while.

Do you actually value the first amendment for all or do you only want it for you and when it’s a confirmation of your own biases?

  5. The guy talking about how “this is life” would’ve been the first to go to court for a few bucks … disgusting.

  6. Montana is full of red necks and hicks… of course the state will support a criminal like this guy… they support TRUMP, that says it all…
