‘Hold on a second!’ Kay Burley shuts down Owen Jones as he claims ‘no one’ won election
The presenter then cut off the journalist and blasted: “Hold on a second, it’s Matts turn!”
Chorley then spoke about Mrs May’s “apparently unsustainable” situation and questions raised over her leadership before Jones insisted once more that “no one” won the election.
He said: “Again, no one won the election, that’s the the point, that’s why we now have a coalition of chaos to coin a phrase.”
After Chorley insisted that Mrs May “did win”, Jones continued: “No she didn’t, to win an election you have to win a majority.”
His rival then blasted Mr Corbyn’s performance at the last election, likening it to former Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s performance in 2010.
He said: “But she [Mrs May] is Prime Minister, she’s Prime Minister and Jeremy Corbyn won the same number of seats as Gordon Brown won in 2010.”
