Two brothers who claim to be Syria refugees on trial in Germany for people smuggling

Ahmad Grandeur, 18, and his brother Fouad, 20, are alleged to have worked with a Kurdish gang of people-smugglers to bring Iraqi refugees into Germany.

On Monday, a court in Cologne heard the men had allegedly charged refugees $2,500 (€2,200) to board a yacht heading from the Turkish seaside resort of Bodrum to the Greek island of Kos.
