Hi, thank you very much for the information but your advice only worked for your video. I tried to do same thing on Tedx Talks videos but it did not work. CC button is not active so i cant click on it. Can you help me?

This video is pointless.. if I want to turn on caption, I obviously don’t have sound.

  14. Anthony Tobba says

Totally useless, this doesn’t work for turning captions OFF, sure they turn off for this particular video but when you open up the next YT video they are back on.

  15. Terry Mc Gonigle says

Hi thanks for your video, normally I use the automatic captions on youube to get a first draft then correct them as you show here, recently the automatic captions are not appearing for me anywhere, I am Irish and I put it on the correct language setting but I can’t get the automatic captions to work at all, it was working perfectly for the past month and this week it has stopped completely…any advice would be really welcome as I am really struggling to get subtitles on my videos as I don’t have the budget to pay someone right now. thanks in advance

    Your quality is too much

  17. Helena Te says

I was in the middle of listening to a file, while transcribing it – and i hit a button which really made the contrast between the caption and the background much less (no, i don’t know which button i hit ..). I have tried every option available in the subtitle/cc button to make the contrast larger again and was not able to do it. I can change colors, font, opacity, etc. and yet the contrast is not as large as initially provided and it makes the captions difficult to read. any suggestions? p.s. the beautiful panel we see in your video is much fancier than what i see on my choices – it’s all written. Thanks for any support.
